CPIM alleges irregularity in medical college PG admission norms

Shimla: The Himachal Pradesh state secretariat of CPIM has condemned the health department of the state for allegedly bending rules for selection of post-graduate students for both IGMC Shimla and Tanda medical collage.

“The government has changed the criteria/roaster for filling the PG seats to benefit a minister it is learnt,” Tikender Singh Panwar, member, state CPIM secretariat claimed.

The CPIM has stated that the change in the policy though challenged by HMOA (Himachal Medical officers Association) in the HP high court, utterly goes against the basic sprit of health services and NRHM (National Rural Health Mission), the premier head under which the money flows down (though meager) for the health services in the state.Read Full Story
