Dharamsala: To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the arrival of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in Dharamsala on 30 April, 1960, the Central Tibetan Administration is organising a two-day ‘Thank You Himachal’ event to express Tibetan people’s gratitude to the people and government of Himachal Pradesh, in Dharamsala on April 30 and May 1.
Tenzin Phuntsok Atisha, Central Tibetan Administration’s secretary for international relations said,”His Holiness The Dalai Lama is expected to be present at the
function on both the days. Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal will attend the ceremony at Dari ground near Dharamsala on April 30 at 9 am.” The special feature of the first day’s programme will be a photo exhibition on Mahatma Gandhi’s and His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s message on ‘Peace and Brotherhood’ at the prestigious Museum of Kangra Arts in Dharamsala.
