Shimla: The High Court on Tuesday quashed the counseling conducted for PG courses by the directorate of medical education and asked for holding it afresh by drawing up separate merit lists for direct MBBS candidates and for in-service doctors designated as general duty officers (GDOs).
After drawing up separate merit list for the two categories, at the fresh counseling candidates are to be offered course choices in different specialties on the basis of a roaster that was followed till last year, the interim order passed by chief justice Kurian Joseph held.
