Himachal govt in service for Ramdev’s yoga camp

Solan: The Congress and BJP are yet again having a face off over Baba Ramdev’s proposed Patanjali Yogpeeth, that is to come up at Sadhupul. The immediate trigger is the three-day yoga camp to be held at the same sight from June 17 onwards along with the foundation-laying ceremony. While the BJP government appears to be leaving no stone unturned to make the event successful by providing full logistic support, the Congress has become vocal with accusations that government machinery and funds are being misused to benefit a commercial venture.

JCB machines, road rollers and labour belonging to the state public works department can clearly bee seen at the Indira Holiday Home premises and land around it allotted to the Yogpeeth. State health minister not just held a meeting of district officials assigned duties for the yoga camp, but also personally visited the site last Friday to take stock of the preparations.Read Full Story
