Monsoon 8 % more than normal in Himachal

Shimla: The South West Monsoon, that hit Himachal Prasesh on July 5, has brought eight per cent more-than-normal rainfall this season. According to state met office director Manmohan Singh, the state experienced widespread rainfall during the last 24 hours.

The tourist resort of Dalhousie in Chamba district experienced highest 119 mm rainfall, followed by Kheri in the same district at 100 mm. In Kangra district, Dharamsala had 78 mm rain, Palampur 53 mm and Baijnath 42 mm. In Bilaspur district Ghamroor 47 mm, Amb of Una 41 mm, Sujanpur Tira of Hamirpur 39 mm, Saloni of Chamba 38 mm, Pandoh of Mandi 27 mm.Read Full Story
