Saina Nehwal Badminton ace to get as World No.2 Saina Nehwal has been chosen for . Saina is the first Indian girl to reach the Olympics singles quarterfinals and also the first Indian to win the World Junior Badminton Championships. Saina Nehwal today on Friday, July 30th 2010 has been selected for the prestigious , the country’s sporting honour, for her oustanding achievements on the badminton court.

National sports awards (Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna, Arjuna and Dhyan Chand) selection committee headed by P T Usha met and decided to bestow the Khel Ratna on Saina after considering her brilliant performance in the last one year.
