Shimla: The monsoon session of the 11th state Assembly commenced today with the House expressing condolences to the victims of Leh flashflood victims, and paying tributes to former vice-president of India Bhairon Singh Shekhawat and former Congress MLA Rajinder Singh.
Meanwhile, Himachal Pradesh government has decided to again approach the Supreme Court after failing to resolve the long pending issue of settlement of state’s share and assets in Bhakhra and Dehar power projects in the wake of non-implementation of Punjab Reorganisation Act.
Responding to a query of Gangu Ram Musafir (Congress, Pachhad) in the Question Hours today, Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal said that no solution came out from the ‘out-of-court settlement’ with stakeholders and the Union government.Read full story
