Himachal Pradesh tourism is focussing on promoting lesser-known places of the state to attract tourists.As many as 24 (two dozen) beautiful pictures, highlighting the tribal and offbeat destinations for pilgrimage, adventure, heritage, people and culture and rural tourism have been included in table and wall calendars, Arun Sharma, Director Tourism, said today.
The calendar was a mode of publicity with wider impact round the year and it also helped to promote and project the virgin tourism places endowed with abundant natural beauty, he added.
The calendars contain beautiful pictures of Lahaul and Spiti valley’s destinations, pilgrimage destinations and culture, Hamta valley (Kullu), Nako (Kinnaur), Thamsar Pass in Kangra district, Maharana Pratap Sagar, Cricket stadium at Dharamshala, Pangi valley, Dodra-Kwar, Pabbar valley, Chopal, Ranital (Sirmaur).
