Locals urge Union minister not to allow diversion of forest land for hydro project

Shimla: Local people living in the vicinity of 1,000 MW Wangtu Hydro Electric Project have sent a complaint to minister of environment and forest Jairam Ramesh raising objection regarding project proposal for diversion of additional forest land measuring 6.7190 ha (including under ground area 3.0688ha.) for implementation of Karcham Wangtu HEP in Kinnaur district.Read Full Story
