Shimla: Inaugurating a two-day conference of deputy commissioners and superintendents of police here today, Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal said that officers, particularly in the field, should ensure that policies and programmes of the government are implemented in the right perspective in an effective manner.
The Chief Minister directed to bureaucrats concerned to draft a comprehensive law to save ‘Gau Vansh” in the state, claiming that he had information that people were taking cows from within the state to other places for slaughtering. He said that if needed, an Ordinance could also be brought in this respect.
Dhumal lauded the good work done in implementation of Pandit Deen Dayal Kisan Baagwan Samaridi Yojna, which had started giving good results. He added that some obstacles in the implementation of schemes like minimum requirement of area for construction of poly houses etc. should be looked into so that maximum farmers could avail its benefits.Read Full Story
