NHPC CMD worried over delay in execution of Parbati hydro project

Kullu: The recent visit of the Union power minister Sushil Kumar Shinde to the project sites of the 2051 MW Parbati Hydro Electric Project being constructed by National Hydro Power Corporation (NHPC) has started showing results while the chairman-cum-managing director SK Garg of NHPC himself taking stock of the factors that are leading to unrelenting delay in construction of stage-II of the project.

On his maiden visit to Parbati Hydro Electricity (HE) Projects, the CMD expressed concern over the delay in construction of the stage-II due to failure of the Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) and copiously leakage of mountain water. He was assured by NHPC authorities here about the progress of construction activities.
