Mandi: One person was killed and seven others were injured, three of them seriously, in two different accidents in the district on Sunday evening, police said today.
Four members of a family of village Barwar of Saigli panchyat had gone on a pilgrimage to Prashar Lake (9000 ft) in a jeep. At Kandoo Seri the driver could not negotiate a blind curve and the fateful vehicle dived straight into a 600 ft deep gorge. Nearby villagers rushed to the scene of the accident and rescued the injured who were taken to Primary Health Centre Kataula from where they were referred to Regional Hospital, Mandi, where doctors declared Bali Devi (48) as brought dead.Read Full Story
